The Thrill of Words Brought to Life
I've been writing a lot of speculative fiction lately - primarily horror stories, but some science fiction to round out the repertoire. Seeing these works published in collections around the world is one thing, but recently, I got to experience an even greater pleasure.
'The Other Stories' is a fiction podcast that channels the likes of 'The Twilight Zone', and 'Tales From the Crypt'. With the impressive number of listeners who tune into this podcast on a regular basis, I was honoured when my short story 'John Thirty' was picked up to become an episode in their 'Big Brother' volume. That image is the poster designed to accompany the episode.
Listening to this was amazing. Not only was the narration of the highest quality, but to hear my own words brought to life, over music composed just to suit them, was an incredible feeling.
I don't like to make announcements before the publishers make their own, but I can tell you this: I have a good amount of horror stories that have been lined up to be released over the coming months. Again, I will ask you to watch this space!
In the meantime, check out 'John Thirty'. This is the Spotify link, but you can also find it on your podcast platform of choice. I will warn you, this is not for the faint of heart!
